FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Cost depends on several factors: DAVA eligibility (possible exemption), vehicle value, origin port, transport type (RoRo or container). Expect on average €1,500-3,000 for transport from Europe, plus customs duties if not DAVA eligible (30-50% of value).

Total timeline is typically 2 to 4 weeks: 7-14 days maritime transport from Europe, then 5-7 days for customs clearance, technical inspection and registration. This may vary based on origin port and season.

Yes, diesel vehicles can be imported. However, they must meet Morocco's emission standards (typically Euro 4 minimum). Vehicles over 5 years old are not eligible for DAVA exemption but can be imported under the normal regime.

Vehicles imported under DAVA exemption cannot be sold for 5 years. If you wish to sell before this period, you must regularize its status by paying the duties and taxes you were exempted from, calculated pro-rata for remaining time.

If you're not DAVA eligible, you can still import your vehicle under the normal regime. You'll pay customs duties (2.5-17.5% depending on origin) and VAT (20%) on the vehicle value. We help calculate the exact cost and evaluate if the import is worthwhile.
