Frequently Asked Questions

Which equipment requires ANRT approval?
All equipment using radio frequencies: mobile phones, 4G/5G tablets, WiFi routers, Bluetooth devices, connected objects (IoT), walkie-talkies, professional radio equipment. Even laptops with built-in WiFi require approval.
How long does it take to get approval?
Timelines vary depending on equipment type and dossier complexity. On average: 5-10 days for simple WiFi/Bluetooth equipment, 10-15 days for mobile phones, 15-20 days for professional radio equipment. These timelines may be extended if additional testing is required.
Is CE/FCC certification sufficient for Morocco?
No, CE (Europe) or FCC (USA) certifications are not automatically recognized in Morocco. However, these certifications greatly facilitate the process as they prove compliance with international standards. ANRT requires its own approval certificate.
How long is the approval valid?
ANRT approval is generally valid indefinitely for a specific model, as long as technical specifications do not change. If the product is modified (new version, frequency changes), a new approval or update is required.
Can I import without ANRT approval?
No, importing telecommunications equipment without ANRT approval is prohibited. Non-approved equipment will be blocked at customs and may be seized. Financial penalties may also apply. We recommend obtaining approval before shipping the goods.
